Matcha is more than just a powdered green tea—it's a ritual, a moment of peace, and a delicious way to energize your day. Whether you’re looking to start your morning with a warm, frothy bowl or cool off in the afternoon with an iced matcha latte, learning how to prepare it properly is key to getting that vibrant flavor and smooth texture.

To begin, you’ll need high-quality matcha powder, a bamboo whisk (chasen), a bowl, and hot water just below boiling. For a classic hot matcha, sift 1–2 grams of matcha into your bowl, add about 70ml of hot water, and whisk vigorously in a zig-zag motion until a layer of froth forms. The result? A rich, creamy drink with a slightly sweet, umami flavor.

Craving something refreshing? Iced matcha is just as simple. You can either shake or whisk the matcha with a bit of warm water to dissolve, then pour it over ice with cold water or your milk of choice. Add honey or vanilla if you like a sweeter twist. It's the perfect balance of earthy and chilled—ideal for warm days or a mid-day reset.

Whether enjoyed hot or iced, matcha brings focus, calm, and a touch of tradition to your daily routine. Once you’ve mastered the basics, feel free to experiment with your own recipes and rituals—it’s a journey worth sipping.
